Prototyping Portfolio
I design and prototype 3D tabletop components including miniatures, tokens, plastic game pieces, and custom parts for board game publishers. Prototypes are developed with durability, tolerances, and manufacturing constraints in mind. I want your components to move cleanly from concept to production.
Client Prototyping Work
Heroes of Barcadia – Game Accessories and Alternate Miniature Sculpts
Component and token upgrades, miniatures, and accessories for Heroes of Barcadia by Rollacrit.
Cafe Hoppers – Prototype Tokens
Custom "Polaroid" tokens modeled and printed for tabletop play-testing.
Original Component Design
Crystal Dice Display – Illuminated RPG Dice Throne
Designed for Dungeon Masters and players alike. Modeled as a decorative tabletop accessory with integrated lighting to make your dice feel important and valued.
Modular Display Tower
A thematic and modular tower system designed to display dice, miniatures, or tabletop collectibles. Supports multiple heights, includes storage for transport, and is lit with rechargeable LEDs.
What I Prototype
- Miniatures
- Game tokens
- Plastic game components
- Custom dice and markers
- Sculpted terrain pieces
Prototype Development Process
Each project typically moves through the following stages:
- Modeling stage: I create the initial 3D model.
- Iteration stage: I revise the model as needed based on testing and feedback.
- Prototyping stage: I produce test prints of the component.
- Refinement stage: I send the prototype for testing and make final revisions to ensure the part functions as desired.
Need a Prototype Component?
Most projects begin with a short discussion about the component, its purpose in gameplay, and any manufacturing considerations.
I’m happy to schedule a brief Prototype Planning Call to review your component idea and determine the best approach for modeling and prototyping.
Project quotes are based on complexity, geometry, and iteration needs.
Typical prototype turnaround: 1–3 weeks depending on complexity.
